Gazprom to Take Cameroon LNG

Gazprom entered into  an agreement to purchase all of the LNG produced from the planned export plant in Cameroon operated by Perenco. The export plant is scheduled to begin operating in 2017. The deal between Gazprom and Perenco is aimed at helping the Russian firm boost its portfolio in LNG.

Gazprom Marketing & Trading is expected to take 1.2 million tons of LNG annually from the Perenco project which is being developed by Golar LNG. Golar is converting one of its LNG tankers into a floating production platform which will chill gas into liquid form for export by ship to world markets
