And Shell Nigeria unit has declared force majeure on gas supplies to the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG export facility on Bonny Island. The halt in feedstock supplies is necessitated by the leak on the Eastern Gas Gathering System (EGGS-1) pipeline.
The force majeure on the EGGS-1, through which SPDC supplies the bulk of its gas to company was declared on August 8 by SPDC. The declaration, the company says is likely to impact exports from the facility.
