Valmet Acquires Metso’s Process Automation Systems

Valmet has finally completed the acquisition of Process Automation Systems business from Metso to seal demerge deal between the two Finnish companies.
“The historic acquisition” says Pasi Laine, President and CEO Valmet, “was not only strategic but also geared to further strengthen global outreach and performance toward our vision to lead the world in terms of service and delivery.”

“We can now offer a unique combination of technologies, automation and services to our customers” he said.
Valmet’s services cover everything from maintenance outsourcing to mill and plant improvements and spare parts.

Other strong technology offerings include power plants for bio-energy production, pulp mills, tissue, board and paper production lines while the advanced automation solutions range from single measurements to mill and plant wide turnkey automation projects.

Pasi Laine said that with 12,000 professionals around the world, Valmet will not only be close to customers but also commit all its energies to delivery excellence for mutual benefit.
