Energy Window International (Media) – The Board of Shell plc had on the 16th of March 2026 announced the pounds sterling and euro equivalent dividend payments in respect of the fourth quarter 2025 interim dividend, which was announced on February 5, 2026 at US$0.372 per ordinary share.
In its statement Shell said that the shareholders were elected to receive their dividends in US dollars, euros or pounds sterling Adding that stakeholders with ordinary shares who also and validly submitted US dollars, euros or pounds sterling currency elections by March 6, 2026 would be entitled to a dividend of US$0.372, €0.3227 or 27.87p per ordinary share, respectively.
In the absence of any valid election, persons holding their ordinary shares through Euroclear Nederland Shell said would receive their dividends in euros at the euro rate per ordinary share shown above. Again, in the absence of any valid election, shareholders (both holding in certificated and uncertificated form (CREST members)) and persons holding their shares through its “Corporate Nominee” would receive their dividends in pounds sterling, at the pound sterling rate per ordinary share as stated above.
It further stated that euro and pounds sterling dividends payable in cash had also been converted from US dollars based on an average of market exchange rates over the three dealing days from March 11 to March 13, 2026, and the dividend due to be payable to those members whose names were on the “Register of Members” on February 20 2026 on March 30, 2026.
And a different currency election date according to the Dutch firm may apply to shareholders holding shares in a securities account with a bank or financial institution ultimately holding through Euroclear Nederland. This may also apply to other shareholders who do not hold their shares either directly on the “Register of Members” or in the corporate sponsored nominee arrangement. It added that shareholders could contact their broker, financial intermediary, bank or financial institution for the election deadline that applies.
