Solar Electric Power Association names new director

The Solar Electric Power Association has named Jill Anderson, currently senior vice president for public affairs and business development of the New York Power Authority, or NYPA, to its board of directors.

SEPA is an educational nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, dedicated to enabling the transition to a clean energy economy by facilitating utility integration and deployment of solar, distributed energy resources, and supporting technologies onto the grid.

Gil Quiniones, NYPA president and CEO, issued this statement: “I want to congratulate Jill for being elected a director of the Solar Electric Power Association Board. This reflects the industry’s recognition of Jill as a technical and policy thought leader in renewable energy and smart grid technology. As a primary contributor to Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s Energy Highway Blueprint, Jill is an architect of New York’s new energy infrastructure and a leader in the state’s efforts to build a clean, resilient and affordable energy system for all New Yorkers.”
