Shell assembled 250 industry leaders at a Tech Leadership Conference

The first-ever, long-running global technology event spearheaded by Shell Lubricants and hosted in Dubai has come and gone with more than 250 senior industry leaders from across 16 countries in the Middle East, Egypt, Central Asia, and South Asia in the industrial, manufacturing, construction and transportation sectors fully in attendance.

Mid East Information media reported that the conference featured discussions that explored how emerging technologies, sustainability solutions, and cross-industry partnerships were transforming the way OEMs, vendors, and suppliers operate. “As many industries evolve and adapt balancing performance, efficiency, and decarbonisation, industry representatives from oil & gas, construction, power, fleet, cement, manufacturing, and mining, highlighted the importance of collaboration in accelerating the Middle East’s progress toward a greener future.”

Jason Wong, Executive Vice President at Shell Global Lubricants said: “Lubricants are fundamental to how the world operates today and tomorrow. Hosting this long-running conference in Dubai for the first time highlights our technology leadership, showcasing innovations like immersion cooling and E-fluids that help industries boost performance, cut emissions, and accelerate the energy transition across this vital region.”

Haytham Yehia, General Manager for Middle East, Egypt, and Central Asia Region at Shell Lubricants also said: “Technology Leadership Conference highlights the need for collaboration to address rising demands for efficiency and sustainability. Energy Window International (Media) learnt that the conference was a reflection of Shell Lubricants’ commitment to industry leadership in a rapidly evolving energy and industrial landscape, providing a platform for business leaders to share valuable insights which can shape a more sustainable future through real-world applications and combined expertise.

The report added that Shell was already developing “advanced lubricants” that enhance efficiency, protect equipment and reduce emissions while supporting the company’s Powering Progress strategy. “These solutions will reduce the total cost of ownership, reduce energy consumption and support the transition toward a more sustainable energy future.”
