SPE Nigeria confirms speakers at NAICE 2024, reassures commitment to deliver on promises

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria Council has finally announced the speakers for the 47th edition of the Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition (NAICE) 2024. The event, usually rated, within and outside as prominent and strategic, and billed for August 5th until 7th 2024, at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, with the theme, “Petroleum Industry Value Chain Optimization: The Inevitability of Midstream and Downstream Development”, will have His Royal Majesty, Oba Prof. Saka Matemilola, Olowu of Owu Kingdom Abeokuta and a past Chairman of the SPE Nigerian Council in attendance.

Other speakers whose participation had already been confirmed will include, Terry Palisch, 2024 SPE International President, Minister of Energy Ghana Herbert Krapa, Nigeria’s Midstream/Downstream regulatory agency – NMDPRA CEO Engr. Farouk Ahmed. Others include the MD/CEO Seplat Energies Roger Brown, Engr Elohor Aiboni, MD SNEPCO, Gbite Falade, MD/CEO Aradel Holdings, Sanjeev Verma, Vice President Halliburton, Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, Managing Director Falcon Corporation, Debo Fagbami, MD, NEDOGAS, and a host of other prominent speakers.

Excited with the quality of speakers selected for this all-important and all-inclusive event, the Chairman (SPE) Nigeria Council Salahudeen Tahir said: “Our line-up of speakers for NAICE 2024 truly reflects the pinnacle of expertise and innovation in the petroleum industry. The Panel Sessions according to a pre-conference report sent to Energy Window International will simplify all that are required in, “Unlocking Upstream Value: Developing Markets, Trade Access, and Facilitating Partnerships in the Midstream and Downstream.” They will also, and exhaustively too examine, “Energy Security: Exploring the Interplay between Technology, Market Dynamics, and Organizational Capabilities.” To further give the engagement the relevance it requires are, topical Issues and workshops which will seek to address, “The Outlook of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry, Post IOC Divestments and Exits, Challenges and Opportunities” while examining the sector’s future landscape.

“This year’s conference will focus on current market trends and economic forecasts while highlighting the crucial roles of inclusivity and leadership development in our industry,” Tahir said.

Other highlights include the Young Professionals’ Workshop, The Women Leadership Programme, the Oil Industry Night & Awards Dinner, Family Recreation Activities, and of course the Exhibition.

This is with hope that topics like the “Market Trends, Economic Outlook in the Downstream and Midstream Sector”, alongside other technical presentations, will provide up-coming professionals with the tools and skills. Women Leadership Programme is expected to address “Equality by Design”, whose focus will revolve around promoting gender inclusivity through discussions, to be led by influential female leaders. The Oil Industry Night & Awards Dinner will celebrate excellence and innovation, presenting awards to outstanding professionals and organizations. Attendees are expected to explore cutting-edge technologies at the exhibition, while family programs offer entertainments to further five the event the needed colour.
