As part of a deliberate policy to boost the human capital development of its operations, the management of Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) on Monday injected 121 new engineers to its fold.

The initiative was geared towards enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the establishment’s operations. The graduate trainees were trained and certified by the Vigeo Power Academy/Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo state.

Managing director of BEDC, Funke Osibodu in her speech on the occasion in Benin City, noted that the initiative was the first of its kind in the electricity supply industry in the country.
