Energy Window International (Media) – The International Gas Union (IGU) says it is now inviting “expressions of interest” in sponsorship and exhibition opportunities for the 30th World Gas Conference (WCC28) taking place from 15-18 May 2028 at Excel London, United Kingdom.

“At a time when the global energy landscape is navigating increasing complexity and uncertainty amid geopolitical tensions, balancing energy security, resilience and affordability, reducing emissions, and supporting human progress and economic growth, WGC2028 will provide an important platform for dialogue and collaboration across the international Gas and energy community.

“Returning to a city of profound historical significance” because it hosted the first World Gas Conference in 1931”, IGU says the 2028 edition represents a “symbolic homecoming, reflecting both the Conference’s heritage and its continued relevance in shaping the future of Gas in the global energy landscape.”

Held under the theme “Driving Human Progress and Global Growth”, WGC2028 IGU said the 2028 edition will convene global energy leaders, policymakers, industry stakeholders and technical experts to address the sector’s key challenges and opportunities.

WGC2028 is a four-day conference and exhibition that will feature Plenary Sessions, Current Debates, Closed Roundtables, Side-events and a comprehensive Technical Programme built alongside a large-scale international exhibition showcasing the latest innovations and developments across the global Gas industry.

The programme will address key themes, including Gas’ role in a just and balanced energy future, Gas at the centre of sustainability, Gas’ contribution to prosperity, energy security and resilience, infrastructure financing, technology and innovation, talent development and multi-stakeholder collaboration and partnerships.

Marcus Gurske, the Executive Director of the 30th World Gas Conference, commented: “WGC2028 will provide a unique platform for the global Gas and energy industry to come together, exchange insights, and drive meaningful progress at a pivotal moment for the sector. Taking place in London in 2028, it offers a timely opportunity for companies to actively engage in the discussions shaping the global agenda. Together, the industry has a critical role to play, and the active participation of leading companies and stakeholders will be essential in shaping a more secure and sustainable energy future.”

Menelaos (Mel) Ydreos, the Conference Chair and Secretary General of IGU, also added: “As global energy priorities continue to evolve, the Gas industry remains central to delivering secure, reliable and affordable energy while being essential to human progress and economic growth. In an increasingly complex and interconnected market, continued investment, innovation and collaboration across the value chain will be critical to meeting the future energy demand.”

IGU has therefore called on interested organizations to explore sponsorship and exhibition opportunities that provide a platform to engage with stakeholders from across the global Gas and energy sector, with contact for sponsorship and exhibition enquiries provided as, Sales Team at exhibition@wgc2028.com

Delegate registration will open in October 2026, with the Call for Abstracts opening in November 2026.
